‘Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper Officially Moves To CAA After Leaving UTA
Alex Cooper, host of Call Her Daddy, has signed with CAA alongside her husband, film producer Matt Kaplan, and their Unwell banner. The move follows her departure from UTA earlier in the summer and gives the group new representation as they expand their media business.
The pair run TRNDG, which includes the podcast and Kaplan’s film and television work. Unwell closed a drinks business this year, and Kaplan faced allegations of fostering a toxic workplace; in August, the company secured investment from Patrick Whitesell’s WTSL at a reported $500 million valuation. Its projects include reality shows for Netflix and Hulu, a Hannah Montana anniversary special, and scripted productions in development, as well as YouTube series and an in-house advertising agency.
