Carly Rae Jepsen has released ‘Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor’, an ABBA-inspired single from her forthcoming double album, Day and Night. The song marks the first preview of the album’s ‘Night’ half and is accompanied by a video directed by playwright Jeremy O. Harris, featuring Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Washington.

Jepsen said the song was prompted by seeing ABBA Voyage in London after recording in Sweden, with the aim of creating a singalong pop track with contemporary production. Day and Night contains 24 songs and is due on 18 September; Jepsen has already released ‘On Wires’ and ‘After All’ from the album.
