Amazon and director Mike Flanagan unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's *Carrie* at Comic-Con 2026, giving fans their clearest look yet at the retelling. While the trailer largely follows the familiar beats of the well-known horror story, the project has been reworked to reflect contemporary teenage life, addressing modern issues such as active shooter drills and social media bullying rather than simply retreading Brian De Palma's iconic 1976 film.

This marks Flanagan's fourth collaboration with King's work, and he reportedly brought real high schoolers into the writers' room to shape the script using their own experiences of harassment and online cruelty. The series stars Summer H. Howell, who was 21 during filming, in the title role. *Carrie* is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on 7th October 2026.
