Carson Daly Will Co-Anchor ‘Saturday Today’

Carson Daly will co-anchor NBC’s “Saturday Today” with Laura Jarrett from 7 November, taking on the role after Peter Alexander left for a new job at MS NOW. The appointment gives the programme a more permanent presenting pair and may help it develop a distinct identity within NBC’s weekend coverage.

Daly has worked with NBC since 2002 and has been a “Today” correspondent and co-anchor since 2013. He is expected to keep appearing on weekday “Today”, as well as hosting and executive producing “The Voice” and executive producing “The Voice: Celebrity”, making his NBC News schedule six days a week. Joe Fryer and meteorologist Angie Lassman will remain on the Saturday programme; the change comes as ABC has also reshuffled its weekend “Good Morning America” presenters.
