De Miguel, 30, played for CD Tenerife and collided with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono as they challenged for a loose ball in Spain’s second division on Monday. He was taken to hospital and placed in intensive care, and Tenerife announced his death on Tuesday. A funeral was held in Spain on Thursday; the investigating court has kept the report confidential and authorised the transport of his remains for burial.
