CBS’ New Crime Thriller Officially Becomes a Paramount+ Streaming Smash

*Sheriff Country*, the *Fire Country* spin-off led by Morena Baccarin, has become the second-most-watched show on Paramount+ in the United States. Its strong showing as its second season returns highlights the franchise’s streaming appeal, although the season has drawn a more mixed critical response.

The new season reveals that Sheriff Mickey Fox’s mother is DEA Deputy Director Eva Santos, long believed dead. The show ranks ahead of its parent series, which has spent more than 200 days in Paramount+’s US top ten and most recently placed seventh. The next episode, “Ulysses”, is scheduled for 23 October and centres on a dangerous drug spreading through a college community.
