Three of Tracy Anderson’s Standard Poodles allegedly escaped from their Hamptons property and surrounded and attacked 76-year-old neighbour Monica Enders on 9 August. Enders said one dog bit her calf, causing deep puncture wounds and heavy bleeding, while the animals then returned through a hole in the fence; the incident has raised questions about their containment and any potential legal consequences.

Police photographs reportedly showed Enders’s blood-soaked trousers and a deep laceration, and she was taken to an emergency medical facility after collapsing nearby. Anderson, who was not at home at the time, told officials she felt badly about the incident and did not know how the dogs had escaped; animal-control officers could not examine them because she and her husband left town with the pets, while a possible dangerous-dog hearing was ultimately not pursued after initial uncertainty over which dog was responsible.
