British boxer Raven Chapman could return to the UK next week after a second successful operation following a brain bleed suffered during a sparring session in Denmark. Her management said the procedure is an important step in her recovery and should make travelling home safer, though she still faces a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

The 32-year-old collapsed after training on 24 July and was flown by helicopter to hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema. She underwent emergency surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma; a fundraising appeal for her after-care has raised more than £88,000. Chapman has 10 professional wins and two losses, including her October 2024 defeat to Skye Nicolson for the WBC featherweight title.
