Rangers have turned down a bid for striker Youssef Chermiti, with manager Derek McInnes confirming the offer fell short of the club's valuation. The news broke on the same day Chermiti went off injured during Saturday's home match against Hibernian, adding uncertainty to the Ibrox club's situation as they try to fend off interest in one of their key attacking players.

Chermiti, 22, joined Rangers from Everton in September 2025 in a deal reportedly making him their most expensive signing since Tore Andre Flo in 2000. He has since made 43 appearances, scoring 15 goals, and McInnes was asked about reports linking Turkish champions Galatasaray with the bid. The manager insisted Chermiti remains a Rangers player and that the club, who have made nine signings this summer under McInnes, are still working on further additions to the squad.
