Chicago police officer Alberto Rodriguez, aged 37, faces dismissal after an investigation by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) found he raped and physically abused an 18-year-old woman. Rodriguez, a mixed martial artist who competes under the nickname "The Enforcer," met the woman at her 18th birthday party in July 2018 through her brother, and the relationship became abusive by spring 2019. The abuse continued until August 2019, when the woman was rescued from his home.

The investigation found that Rodriguez plied the woman with alcohol whilst she was underage and raped her on multiple occasions. Documented incidents include sexual assault before one of his UFC fights when she declined due to pregnancy concerns, restraining her arms and assaulting her after she refused sex, and further assaults after she returned from a trip to Mexico. During a final incident, Rodriguez pushed the woman's face so hard that her nose ring was dislodged and prevented her from leaving his apartment. An allegation that he threatened to influence an investigation into her brother to coerce sex was not substantiated by investigators.
