Actor Dermot Mulroney has given his first public comments since confirming he is leaving NBC's "Chicago Fire" after two seasons, describing his exit as "bitter" while speaking at the Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention. His character, Chief Pascal, will be written off during the upcoming Season 15, with Mulroney revealing he has just one episode left before departing the long-running drama.

Mulroney joined the Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television series in Season 13, replacing Eamonn Walker, and had already stepped away for the latter half of Season 14 before returning for the finale. He praised the cast and crew as "incredible" and said the writers gave him a "high challenge" storyline for his exit, while also noting how much the show means to first responders and their families. Season 15 is set to premiere on 7 October at 9pm ET on NBC.
