Dazn gains exclusive global streaming option for 2029 Club World Cup

Dazn has secured an exclusive option to stream the 2029 men’s Club World Cup globally, extending its partnership with Fifa. The deal gives Fifa greater certainty over the tournament’s funding after Dazn stepped in to buy the global rights for the 2025 edition when other broadcasters pulled back.

The value of the new option and when Dazn must exercise it have not been disclosed. Planning for 2029 remains unsettled: Fifa and clubs have not agreed the venues, format or size, while discussions about a possible expansion to 48 teams continue. Morocco is seen as a likely host if Gianni Infantino is re-elected, with a Morocco-Spain joint bid also possible.
