Child among three killed in Russian missile attacks near Kyiv

BBC World · 2 hours ago

At least three people, including a child, were killed in overnight Russian missile strikes near Kyiv, with three others injured. The attacks caused fires and damage to buildings, flats and vehicles, underscoring Ukraine’s continuing vulnerability to ballistic missile attacks as its interceptor supplies diminish.

Missiles struck east of Kyiv early on Saturday, while falling debris damaged property and emergency crews tackled fires at a building and fuel tank in the capital. The strikes follow attacks across Ukraine earlier this week that killed 21 people, as President Volodymyr Zelensky says reduced deliveries of air-defence interceptors have left the country unable to prevent further casualties and destruction.
