Chili’s revives iconic red booths and classic design in nationwide restaurant overhaul

Fox News · 4 hours ago

Chili's is rolling out a nationwide redesign of its restaurants that revives the nostalgic look the chain was known for in earlier decades, including signature red booths, quirky wall artwork and neon signage. The move reflects a broader trend among casual dining chains, also seen at Cracker Barrel and Pizza Hut, of leaning into retro branding to reconnect with long-time customers amid a competitive restaurant market.

The refresh is intended to eventually reach every Chili's location in the United States, with the company remodelling around 10% of its approximately 1,200 domestic restaurants each year. At that pace, a full rollout across the entire chain would take roughly a decade to complete.

  • Chili's is restoring its classic red booths and retro decor nationwide.
  • About 10% of its 1,200 US restaurants will be remodelled yearly.
