Horner says daughter’s courage helped him cope with Red Bull dismissal

Daily Mail ·

Former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says his 11-year-old daughter Olivia helped him cope with being dismissed in July 2025. He drew strength from watching her take part in a school awards ceremony a week after her mother, Beverley Allen, died, saying her bravery put his own setback into perspective.

Horner had led Red Bull for two decades and overseen 14 world championship titles. He said he was called to London believing he would discuss marketing, but was told the team wanted a different direction; he initially felt relief after a period of mounting unhappiness. Company accounts recorded £66.988 million in compensation for loss of office and more than £9 million in separate remuneration, bringing his reported package above £76 million.
