CNN’s Pamela Brown Launches New Streaming Series, ‘Body Language’

Variety · 2 hours ago

CNN's Pamela Brown, co-anchor of "The Situation Room" and chief investigative correspondent, is launching "Body Language by CNN," an eight-episode streaming series on CNN's "All Access" subscription service beginning Thursday, 8 October. The series explores women's health issues often overlooked in mainstream discourse, with Brown drawing on her personal experience of postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder to investigate topics including perimenopause, breast reductions, egg freezing, Alzheimer's disease, thyroid conditions and polycystic ovary syndrome. The launch reflects a broader industry shift by traditional television news organisations to reach younger audiences through digital and streaming platforms.

The first four episodes will premiere on 8 October, with four additional episodes following in November. Perimenopause, the first episode's focus, typically begins around age 51 but can manifest symptoms in women's thirties. CNN launched "All Access" in 2025 and has experimented with various programming formats beyond conventional television news. The initiative aligns with similar moves by rival networks—Fox News recently unveiled a female-focused podcast, whilst MSNBC is promoting its "Membership" subscription service—as news organisations seek to engage audiences through non-traditional venues including mobile and social platforms.
