Jensen Huang, founder of Nvidia, disclosed during an interview with New York Times journalist Ezra Klein that he does not know his own address or telephone number. This admission emerged whilst discussing whether artificial intelligence is causing people to forget basic skills like long division and multiplication tables. Huang argued that the loss of these skills does not matter, as society will adapt and discover new ones to value instead. The revelation sparked attention given Huang's enormous influence over AI's development through Nvidia's dominant market position.

Huang illustrated his point by recounting an incident when he panicked at a petrol station years ago because he could not recall his postcode. His company, Nvidia, has a market capitalisation of £5.4 trillion, and since 2023 has accounted for 15 pence of every pound returned by the American stock market. During the interview, Huang also addressed job market concerns arising from AI's growth, asserting that whilst jobs will change dramatically, there will be a net creation of new positions. He characterised himself as a "responsible optimist" and emphasised his commitment to developing technology responsibly for society's benefit.
