Critical Role has revealed the trailer for Age of Umbra: Sallowlands, its latest tabletop role-playing miniseries, exclusively to Polygon. The gothic, horror-tinged series continues the previous Age of Umbra storyline and uses the Daggerheart system, marking another notable release from the popular actual-play company ahead of its debut.

The miniseries follows five adventurers — Sister, Dillwyn (with her companion Badger), Caguama, Alphonse and Mercy — played by Laura Bailey, Jennifer English, Abubakar Salim, Vico Ortiz and Zachery Renauldo. Matthew Mercer returns as Dungeon Master after stepping back during Campaign 4. The survivors explore the decayed Halcyon Domain, a once-celestial land now abandoned by its gods and plagued by the dead reborn as monsters, until a rumour of a mysterious "gargantuan metropolis" offers fresh hope. The first episode arrives on 9 July.
