Cult favorite fried chicken chain opening 12 new stores this month

Raising Cane’s plans to open 12 restaurants across 10 US states in November, expanding into communities including Brick, New Jersey, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The openings mark continued growth for the Louisiana-based chain, which is known for chicken fingers, Cane’s Sauce and Texas toast.

The chain currently has about 1,000 US locations, with the most in Texas (201), followed by California (147), Ohio (65) and Louisiana (63). Raising Cane’s opened 100 locations last year, including its first airport restaurant at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, and its 12 November openings are up from seven in October. The new restaurants are planned for New Jersey, North Carolina, South Dakota, Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Michigan and Utah.
