Variety · 2 hours ago

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has joined the television adaptation of the "Payday" video game franchise as an executive producer, Variety reported exclusively. He will produce through his G-Unit Film & Television banner, working alongside Vice Studios and video game developer Starbreeze Entertainment, which are behind the project. Development on the series was first announced in March 2026, though no writer or network/streamer has yet been attached.

The "Payday" games follow masked criminals pulling off elaborate heists, blending action with themes of betrayal and corruption. Jackson is already well known in television for the "Power" franchise on Starz, both as an executive producer and as an actor, alongside other G-Unit projects including "BMF" and the upcoming "Fightland". Vice Studios president Amy Powell and Starbreeze CEO Adolf Kristjansson both praised the partnership, saying Jackson's team understands the franchise's tone and will bring an authentic, bold approach to the adaptation.
