DeChambeau reflects on uncertain days ahead after LIV liquidation announcement
Bryson DeChambeau says he will approach the next stage of his career with “humility and respect” after LIV Golf announced it plans to wind down operations. The circuit’s financing plan collapsed after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund said it would cut funding, leaving the future of players who joined LIV uncertain.
DeChambeau left the PGA Tour for LIV four years ago and said he remained grateful for the chance to bring top-level golf to new audiences, while acknowledging that some of his comments had not helped the sport. Former major champions Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed have signalled they are leaving; Koepka has been reinstated by the PGA Tour. DeChambeau plans to play at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December, while the Financial Times reported that BC Partners is again seeking to establish a successor to LIV.
