Descendents guitarist Stephen Egerton has announced his first solo album, I Think You’re Overthinking This, alongside its lead single, “Stay Home”. The release marks a stylistic departure from the California hardcore punk sound associated with Descendents and All, instead presenting bright, polished power pop.

Egerton began the album during a four-day Abbey Road Studios session given to him by his wife for his 60th birthday. He played guitar, bass and drums across all 10 tracks, then recorded vocals and mixed the album at his home studio in Tulsa; the self-released record arrives on 11 September.
