‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ Comic Book Series Launching in January (EXCLUSIVE)

“Dungeon Crawler Carl”, Matt Dinniman’s fantasy LitRPG series, is getting an ongoing comic book from Vault Comics. Launching in comic shops in January 2027, the comic brings the story to print and expands a franchise that is also being adapted as a live-action Peacock series.

The first issue will be 48 pages, twice the usual size, and later issues are planned monthly. It will adapt the existing webtoon, with writer Tevagah and Laurel Pursuit Studios returning, alongside artist Kuzomari. Nathan Gooden will draw the main covers, while a rotating group of artists will create variant covers. The story follows Coast Guard veteran Carl and Princess Donut, his ex-girlfriend’s cat, through a deadly dungeon that is also a reality TV show watched across the galaxy.
