Actor Ed Harris has revealed he came close to quitting Taylor Sheridan's "Dutton Ranch" during its first season, saying he felt "underused and inconsequential" and told his team he wanted out before filming wrapped. Harris said that prior to signing on he had expectations about his role that were not met once production got underway, leading him to ask representatives to "get me the f— out of here." The remarks come as "Dutton Ranch" premiered on Paramount+ in May with two episodes followed by weekly releases, part of the broader Sheridan-created Western universe that also includes co-star Cole Hauser, who has spoken separately about his own ties to Montana and the character of Rip Wheeler.
