Dwayne Johnson Starring, Benny Safdie Directed Amazon MGM Studios Pic ‘Lizard Music’ To Tune Up Christmas Day 2027

Amazon MGM Studios has scheduled Lizard Music, starring Dwayne Johnson and directed by Benny Safdie, for a theatrical release on 25 December 2027. Adapted from Daniel Pinkwater’s novel, the live-action and CGI fantasy follows a boy who discovers a late-night broadcast of musical lizards and meets the unusual Chicken Man, played by Johnson.

Theo Clark Leber plays the boy, while Johnson undergoes extensive makeup and prosthetics to portray the septuagenarian. Their characters set out to find a hidden society, and the story develops into an adventure about connection and discovery. Alicia Silverstone, Regina Hall, Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum and Rachel McAdams are among the other cast members; two other films are also currently slated to open on Christmas Day 2027.
