Edinburgh Film Festival Reveals Dates for 2027 Edition (EXCLUSIVE)
The Edinburgh International Film Festival will hold its 80th edition from 12 to 18 August 2027, marking eight decades of the event in the Scottish capital. The festival says the anniversary will celebrate its history while continuing the revitalised programme introduced in 2024.
Submissions are due to open in January 2027. The 2026 edition featured 60% world premieres across four venues and admissions rose 35% compared with 2025; highlights included a sold-out “Trainspotting” anniversary event and the first UK Film Conference.
