On the US talent show "America's Got Talent", Mississippi mother and singer Elsie won a spot in the live shows after impressing judges during the Judges' Callbacks round with a soulful cover of Ed Sheeran's "Make It Rain". The round gives performers who received three or four "yes" votes at their original audition a second chance to prove themselves, and Elsie had previously been close to elimination after her audition of an original song divided the panel.

Judge Simon Cowell admitted her first audition had failed to connect with him, but praised her callback performance for lighting up the stage before confirming she would advance to the live shows. Other acts progressed by Cowell included Abiud Sando, Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm, Akira and Travis Garland, while Elekrodads was eliminated; Mel B advanced Butter & Grit, James & Marina and Béty, while Lachlan Patterson, Joel M, and Madelyn Tallent & Malachi Martin were cut. AGT airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
