The 55-year-old appeared in Edinburgh for a live commentary on his 1994 breakthrough film Trainspotting and shared anecdotes about his early stage and screen nudity, saying the absence of social media made that period easier. He plans to appear with Alan Cumming in a stage adaptation of Supernova at Pitlochry Festival Theatre next year, is considering further Long Way Round projects, and hinted that he may not be finished playing Obi-Wan.
