David Beamer, whose son Todd was among the passengers who resisted the hijackers aboard Flight 93, appears in a campaign advert attacking Hasan Piker’s past comments about 9/11 and his association with Abdul El-Sayed. The advert supports Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers and argues that El-Sayed’s refusal to fully renounce Piker makes the issue relevant to voters.

The video was released by Great Lakes HQ and funded by a Rogers-supporting super PAC. El-Sayed has rejected Piker’s 2019 remark that America “deserved 9/11”, but has continued to resist calls to sever ties with the streamer, who supported him during the Democratic primary. Representatives for the candidates and a Gold Star Families organisation did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
