Explained simply
The PlayStation Store Summer Sale is a seasonal promotion where Sony reduces prices on thousands of video games for its gaming consoles. The sale currently runs until 12th August and covers both the PS5 (Sony's latest console) and PS4 (the previous generation). Players in North America and Europe can browse the discounted titles through PlayStation's online storefront.
Gaming publications regularly highlight the best deals available during such sales to help players navigate the large catalogue of discounted games. The current guide showcases over 70 standout titles across multiple genres, from narrative adventures to action games and role-playing experiences. Some games are marked down by up to 80 per cent from their standard prices, whilst others offer more modest discounts.
For console owners, these periodic sales represent a significant opportunity to purchase new games or try titles they may have been considering, all at reduced cost. The breadth and variety of the current sale means there are typically deals available regardless of personal gaming preferences, whether someone enjoys story-focused experiences or more demanding action gameplay.
