Explained simply
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band formed in 1967 by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie. Their line-up changed several times; singer and keyboard player Christine McVie joined in 1970, while Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined in 1975, helping shape the band’s best-known sound.
The group became known both for its music and for the complicated relationships among its members, which influenced songs and made the band’s history turbulent. Its albums and songs have reached a vast audience worldwide, and the band has continued through changing line-ups and periods apart.
