Marvel has shown a teaser for Disney+ series VisionQuest at D23, including the first glimpse of James Spader’s Ultron alongside returning star Paul Bettany’s White Vision. The footage suggests Ultron may appear in both robotic and more human form, reinforcing that the series will focus on artificial intelligence and Vision’s identity crisis.

The display, discovered among Marvel’s convention exhibits, also featured Jim Hammond—the original Human Torch—and a mock Vision Today newspaper with references to weather warnings and a jewel thief. Ultron was apparently destroyed in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, but creator Terry Matalas has confirmed Spader’s return; VisionQuest is due to premiere on 14 October 2026.
