Coventry City are reportedly in discussions about bringing former midfielder Gustavo Hamer back to the club. A return would reunite the Sky Blues with a player who was central to their recent rise and could strengthen their midfield, although no agreement has been confirmed.

Hamer joined Coventry from PEC Zwolle in 2020 and made 132 appearances, scoring 19 goals, before moving to Sheffield United in August 2023. He helped Coventry reach the 2023 Championship play-off final, scoring 11 goals during that season; the talks therefore concern a popular former player with a strong connection to the club.
