Forget ‘The Night Agent,’ Prime Video’s 3-Part Spy Thriller Series Is the Perfect Weekend Binge

Prime Video’s *Alex Rider* is a completed spy thriller series that the article recommends to viewers who enjoy *The Night Agent* or *Reacher*. Based on Anthony Horowitz’s novels, it follows a teenage boy drawn into MI6 after his uncle, a secret agent, is killed, offering an action-led story with a more reluctant young spy at its centre.

The series stars Otto Farrant and has three seasons and 24 episodes; its story concluded in 2024. Alex investigates his uncle’s death, is recruited by MI6 chief Alan Blunt, and undertakes missions including an infiltration of the Point Blanc boarding school. The adaptation rearranges elements from the books and ages Alex from 14 to 16, giving the story a grittier tone while exploring his character and family secrets.
