Path of Exile 2’s 1.0 launch brings two new classes, the campaign finale, and a full strategy game league mechanic
Path of Exile 2 will leave paid early access and launch as a free-to-play game with version 1.0 in just over a month. The release is a major milestone for Grinding Gear Games’ action RPG: it completes the main campaign while setting up years of seasonal content.
Acts Five and Six add 24 areas and 18 major bosses, with Act Five returning players to Oriath to confront the Twilight Order and The Beast. The launch also introduces the Duelist and Shadow classes, new skills, passive tree changes and an overhaul of unique items. Its Conquerors of Wraeclast league adds a strategy layer in which players recruit an army, build a castle and fight rival factions; the Shadow specialises in daggers, stealth and traps that can be combined for varied effects.
