Former Disney Channel star alleges she was sexually abused at 14 after being told to ‘bond’ with employee

Fox News · 3 hours ago

Former Disney Channel actor Raquel Lee Bolleau has filed a lawsuit alleging that she was sexually abused by an adult employee when she was 14 during the production of the 2001 film “The Poof Point”. She claims Disney staff encouraged her to spend time with the man, failed to respond to warning signs and left her without adequate supervision; the case raises serious questions about safeguarding young performers.

According to the complaint, Bolleau alleges the employee gave her alcohol and repeatedly assaulted and harassed her on set, and later assaulted her on a flight to California. She says Disney separated her from her guardian despite California protections for performers under 16, and then blamed her behaviour rather than investigating; she is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, legal costs and interest.

  • Former Disney actor alleges abuse and safeguarding failures aged 14.
  • Lawsuit says warning signs were ignored during 2001 filming.
  • Disney is being sued for alleged failure to protect her.
