Explained simply
Darkest Dungeon II is a role-playing game in which players lead a group of adventurers through dangerous journeys. Its roguelike structure means each attempt can unfold differently, and the game focuses on turn-based fights and managing the party’s condition.
The game is made by Red Hook Studios and follows its earlier title, Darkest Dungeon. The new Switch 2 Edition is a version for Nintendo’s newer console; the original Switch release remains a separate option for players who have not upgraded.
