Fox Entertainment Studios Signs First-Look Deal With Lisa Hamilton Daly and Alysia Cotter Thomas’ Cottage Industry Entertainment

Fox Entertainment Studios has signed a first-look development and producing deal with Cottage Industry Entertainment, the company founded by Lisa Hamilton Daly and Alysia Cotter Thomas. The partnership gives Fox an opportunity to develop the company’s projects for television and film, with an initial slate focused on commercially appealing, female-driven stories.

The television slate includes “The Whittiers”, based on a Danielle Steel novel that Fox has optioned, a family drama, an adaptation of “Summer on Lilac Island” and the comedy “Mom’s Place”. Film projects include a hockey-themed romantic comedy, an adaptation of Adriana Trigiani’s “The View from Lake Como” and “The Afterlife of Holly Chase”. Hamilton Daly previously held senior programming roles at Hallmark Media and Netflix, while Cotter Thomas has worked as a literary agent and held creative roles at Warner Bros., Legendary Entertainment and Working Title.
