‘Frozen 3’ Just Got a Major Update, and Elsa May Have Finally Met Her Match [Exclusive]

Disney says *Frozen 3* is due in about a year, with a new villain who may be more powerful than Elsa. The update suggests the next film will test Anna and Elsa’s future in Arendelle while expanding the series’ story.

Disney Animation head Jared Bush said songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Bobby Lopez are working on one of the film’s emotional songs and are about five songs into the project. The story is expected to follow soon after *Frozen 2*, with Anna and Kristoff’s wedding and honeymoon among the details revealed; a new character voiced by an actor whose identity has not been announced will also appear.
