Daily Mail ·

Philip and Kim English and their sons Callum, 12, and Jayden, nine, died after a fire engulfed their home in Waterford, Ireland, in the early hours of Tuesday. Their joint funeral is due to take place on Monday, as the city mourns and two other children from the family remain seriously ill in hospital.

The fire is being investigated as a suspected arson attack, possibly linked to intimidation involving a drugs gang, though the family were not believed to be involved in criminal activity. A 14-year-old girl is slowly improving, while a six-year-old boy remains critical; Jayden had undergone heart surgery two weeks earlier.
