Funko Launches New ‘Harry Potter’ Mystery Collectibles Ahead of HBO Series

Funko has launched a blind-box collection of six “Harry Potter” figures ahead of HBO’s new television adaptation, giving collectors a chance to find rare chase versions. Buyers will not know which character is inside until opening the box, making the release part of the growing market for mystery collectibles.

Each four-inch vinyl figure costs $14.99 and comes with a matching POP! card; the six standard characters have equal odds, while a Mystery Chase has one-in-72 odds and a one-of-one Worldwide Chase may also be included. HBO’s series is scheduled to premiere on 25 December, with its first season adapting “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” and a second season already in development.
