Future of ‘Heated Rivalry’ revealed ahead of wildly popular gay hockey romance’s hotly anticipated second season
“Heated Rivalry” is reportedly filming its second and third seasons at the same time, with a holiday-themed film also planned. If confirmed, the film would expand the popular hockey romance beyond its television run and is expected to focus on two characters from the first season.
The film is said to be shot in December and released theatrically next December, with Scott Hunter and Christopher “Kip” Grady rumoured to be its leads rather than Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander. Canadian streamer Crave said it had no projects to confirm. Season 1 had six episodes, and the showrunner has said Season 2 will also have six; earlier comments suggested 12 episodes were being filmed in Canada.
