‘Game of Thrones’ Star’s Forgotten Video Game Movie Officially Levels Up on Streaming

Peter Dinklage’s 2015 sci-fi comedy Pixels, which was poorly received by critics, is coming to Starz on 1 November. The film imagines an alien invasion inspired by video games and features Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Michelle Monaghan and Serena Williams alongside Dinklage.

Pixels was loosely based on a 2010 French short and earned 18% on Rotten Tomatoes, with reviewers criticising its execution. The streaming release comes as Dinklage appears in Wicker, which stars Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård and Elizabeth Debicki and recently opened in cinemas with a reported $5.75 million domestic weekend.
