GEOFF TATE ‘Would Like To Learn How To Cook More’: ‘I Love Food. I Love To Eat.’

Blabbermouth · 3 hours ago

Former Queensrÿche frontman Geoff Tate has revealed he would like to spend more time learning to cook, describing his culinary skills as "terrible" despite his enthusiasm for fine dining. He made the comments during an appearance on the KLOS radio show "Whiplash", hosted by Full Metal Jackie, when asked what creative pursuits he might explore given more free time at home.

Tate explained that his musical career has never required him to be in one place, noting that his newly released album "Operation: Mindcrime III" was recorded across roughly 14 countries, including a French castle and a cabin near the North Pole. He compared cooking to composing music, saying both involve mixing elements together with an understanding of underlying "chemistry", and expressed admiration for Michelin-starred chefs. The album, produced by Disturbed bassist John Moyer, marks guitarist Kieran Robertson's recording debut with Tate, and continues the story from Queensrÿche's acclaimed 1988 concept album "Operation: Mindcrime".
