God of War Laufey is delayed until May 20

Santa Monica Studio has delayed the PS5 game *God of War Laufey* by three months, moving its release from 16 February to 20 May 2027. The studio says the extra time will let it add finishing touches and push the game to its fullest potential.

The delay gives the game more space among a busy release schedule, including Sony’s *Until Dawn 2* on 28 January and the likely March launch of that year’s *MLB The Show*. The story follows Faye after she awakens in the afterlife, on an adventure parallel to the events of *God of War* and *God of War Ragnarök*.
