Gemini uses linked Google apps to personalise Android Auto help
Developing story first seen 1 hour ago
Google has begun rolling out Gemini Personal Intelligence to Android Auto, letting the assistant draw on linked Google apps to give more tailored answers while driving. The update could help drivers find relevant details hands-free, such as flight information or directions to an appointment.
The rollout starts globally today, except in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the UK and Nigeria; cars with Google built-in are due to receive it in the coming months. With Gmail linked, Gemini can check flight gates or delays, and it can suggest restaurants along a route based on preferences such as vegetarian diets. The feature is optional, can be switched off, and users can choose which apps Gemini accesses.
