Google has announced a special-edition Pokémon Sleep Fitbit Air, with pre-orders opening through the Google Store and Target ahead of shipping on 15 September. It gives Pokémon Sleep players an officially branded wearable, although its appeal is chiefly the Pikachu-themed appearance rather than any exclusive tracking functions.

The “Sleepy Blue” device features a sleeping Pikachu print and otherwise has the same lightweight, all-day design as the standard Fitbit Air. On Android, it sends sleep data to Pokémon Sleep through Health Connect; users’ Sleep Scores increase Snorlax’s strength and attract Pokémon with similar sleep styles. The wearable includes three months of Google Health Premium, which offers access to a Gemini-powered health coach.

  • Pikachu-themed Fitbit Air ships from 15 September.
  • It tracks sleep for Pokémon Sleep via Health Connect.
  • Three months of Google Health Premium are included.

Pokémon Sleep is a mobile game that encourages players to track their sleep. Each night’s sleep is linked to the character Snorlax, whose growth helps players discover and collect different Pokémon.

Fitbit is Google’s range of health and fitness wearables, which can record information such as activity, heart rate and sleep patterns. Pokémon Sleep can use this sleep information on Android through Health Connect, a system that allows health apps to share data with permission.

The themed device combines Fitbit’s usual sleep-tracking role with one of Nintendo’s best-known game series. It reflects a wider interest in products that connect health technology with games, while leaving the core tracking features largely unchanged.
