Great white shark makes terrifyingly close pass by fisherman in kayak in shocking video

A great white shark swam very close to a fisherman in a kayak, in an encounter captured by his helmet camera. The shark passed without harming him, but the footage shows how exposed a person can be while fishing alone at sea.

Fisherman David Slavich said the shark came alongside just beneath the surface and that he felt awe more than fear. He quickly reeled in his line, then left the area; the article estimates the shark looked about as long as his kayak but gives no confirmed measurement.
