GTA 6’s third and final trailer is here, locking down release date

Polygon · 2 hours ago

Rockstar Games has released a third trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, offering a fresh official look at protagonists Jason and Lucia in Vice City and confirming that the game remains due to launch on 19 November. The trailer matters because it follows more than a year without official footage and seeks to reassure fans after leaks, workplace disputes and previous uncertainty over potential delays.

GTA 6 is set in the modern-day state of Leonida and centres on the criminal partnership and relationship between Jason and Lucia, marking the series’ first focus on a couple. It will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with a standard edition priced at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $100; no PC version has been announced. The run-up to the trailer has also been overshadowed by protests over the dismissal of 30 workers, allegations about working conditions, and unauthorised footage circulated by hackers promoting a cryptocurrency.

  • GTA 6’s new trailer confirms a 19 November release.
  • Jason and Lucia lead the modern-day Vice City story.
  • No PC version has yet been announced.

Grand Theft Auto is a long-running series of open-world video games made by Rockstar Games. Players usually follow criminals through fictional versions of American cities, completing missions while being free to explore a large setting.

The new game is set in Leonida, a fictional modern-day state that includes Vice City, Rockstar’s version of Miami. Its central characters are Jason and Lucia, a couple whose criminal partnership is expected to drive the story.

Rockstar’s trailers are closely watched because the series is one of the most commercially successful in games. Interest in this release has also grown amid past leaks, questions about its production and uncertainty over when it would be available.
