Man found guilty of stalking fashion entrepreneur over false paternity claims

Daily Mail ·

Robert McQueen was found guilty of stalking TV and fashion entrepreneur Heather Dixon for more than ten years, despite repeated requests to stop. The case centred on his persistent claims that Dixon had secretly had his child, and shows how harassment continued across social media, email and her business.

Dixon said she had a one-night relationship with McQueen in about 1986 and had no children; she said he first contacted her again in 2014. He sent around 2,800 emails and contacted Dixon’s niece, Olivia, claiming to be her father, although she was too young for his claim to be possible. The court heard he continued after warnings from Dixon, her solicitor and police; Sheriff Jennifer Bain KC accepted the women’s evidence and rejected McQueen’s as unreliable.
